Hi Sylvia – I’d say with art it can be whatever you want it to be Although, I suppose if you wanted to you could call it an abbreviated marsh where the mountain stream went right into the beach and the estuary (the area between freshwater and saltwater) is left up to the viewer’s imagination. I painted an image of a mountain stream with sand dunes. Is that not likely to be a marsh or could it be a fen.
Or are both wrong?
